About me

I am Jelena Jonis, a data protection expert with over 8 years of experience advising businesses operating in both the public and private sectors on data protection compliance.

My work covers a broad range of areas, from conducting comprehensive business data audits, identifying and assessing data protection risks, to developing and implementing effective data protection policies. I provide guidance on data subject rights, data breach notifications and responses, data protection impact assessments (DPIA), and the implementation of privacy-by-design measures.

I hold CIPP/E and ECPC-B certifications, which demonstrate my expertise in data protection and grant me international recognition in this field. Additionally, I have over 10 years of teaching experience at Vilnius University, allowing me to combine practical and academic perspectives on data protection.

Prior to joining Prevence, I worked as a Data Protection Officer (DPO) in various organizations across Lithuania, France, and the United Kingdom.

I am proud to be part of the modern and ambitious law firm Prevence. My goal is to ensure that our clients feel secure and confident in all matters related to data protection.
