Change needs not only an idea, but also a legal foundation
“Pokyčių ambasada” (Embassy of Change) is a public institution that emerged from a real need, not just an idea to “do something.” Its founder, Klementina Gruzdienė, has worked for many years with families raising children on the autism spectrum in Alytus. In 2023, this activity expanded beyond a single city and became an official NGO, aiming for long-term changes across Lithuania.
The organization’s mission is to create a future for children with diverse needs in an inclusive society. Its work is built on three pillars: support for children with atypical development, changing negative societal attitudes toward disability, and human rights activism.
One of the strongest projects along this journey is the documentary “I Am”. It is a sensitive, open story about the experiences of autistic children and their families, already seen by hundreds of people in various Lithuanian cities. Today, the film is broadcast nationwide on LRT Plius and LRT Epika – inviting society to focus on what truly matters: understanding and solidarity.
Another initiative of “Pokyčių ambasada” is the 100 km walk “To Alytus”, now taking place for the fourth year. It is a journey of togetherness – a path people take step by step for children who need more support, more inclusion, and more voice in society.
Those who want to contribute to these changes can do so simply by allocating part of their income tax to “Pokyčių ambasada” via www.pokyciuambasada.lt. Sometimes even a small contribution can become the beginning of big change.
Such projects are powerful, sensitive, and meaningful. Yet to ensure they do not remain one-time events, they require a strong, clearly defined legal foundation.
This is where our Prevence team stepped in:
🔹 Public institution establishment. We assisted from the very first step – drafting founding documents and managing the registration process.
🔹 Trademark registration. The name “Pokyčių ambasada” was not chosen by chance. It represents a personally important idea for its founder and reflects the essence of the organization’s mission. We prepared the application, adapted trademark descriptions under the Nice Classification, filed through the SPB system, and helped secure EU SME Fund compensation for the registration.
🔹 Copyright and licensing matters. We advised on the public screening of the documentary “I Am” – including broadcast rights on LRT, copyright management, and consent structures for the use of content.
It is worth remembering: social change requires not only funding, but also structure, expertise, strategy – and a solid legal foundation.
📩 If your company is considering long-term support, sharing expertise, or getting involved in social projects – we will help prepare the legal frameworks so that good intentions don’t turn into heavy processes.
