We successfully represented and advised our client, UAB Profitus.

We successfully represented and advised UAB Profitus, a well-known player in the logistics sector, in a complex legal dispute. Our legal expertise and strategic guidance, specifically within the logistics industry, played a key role in securing a favorable outcome for the client in both the first-instance and appellate courts. The client was advised and represented in court by attorney Andželika Buivydė and legal counsel Justinas Bieliauskas.

This case serves as a testament to our firm’s proficiency in resolving complex legal matters. The dispute centered around the defendant’s challenge to VAT invoices issued by the client, arguing that the services had not been ordered. However, both court instances upheld the client’s position and fully satisfied the claim. After the appellate court dismissed the defendant’s appeal, the opposing party was ordered to settle the VAT invoices and reimburse the client’s legal costs.

Cases like this highlight a critical aspect of business transactions, especially in the logistics and transport industry: Proper communication with clients during the conclusion and performance of a freight agreement, along with the careful documentation and preservation of supporting records, can be decisive in protecting a company’s interests in legal disputes.

The Prevence team provides legal support to logistics sector clients on a wide range of matters, including the drafting of domestic and international freight contracts, handling cargo damage, loss, and delayed delivery cases, regulatory compliance issues, and effective representation in disputes.
